Margie Campbell-Price
Margie is a full time Senior Lecturer in Teacher Education at the University of Otago College of Education and a part time PhD student in the Department of Tourism. Her teaching areas include Education Outside the Classroom, and curriculum studies in Physical Education, Outdoor Education and Tourism for teaching in the secondary school. Margie spent 17 years working in secondary schools throughout New Zealand where she was a teacher of Physical Education and Outdoor Education. During that time she initiated and led numerous sports trips to competitions, and outdoor trips and camps to a wide variety of natural environments. More recently, she coordinated and facilitated the delivery of professional development for school leaders to support the New Zealand Ministry of Education guidelines for safe practice in school based Education Outside the Classroom. She is an enthusiastic participant in aquatic sports, hiking and road/mountain biking.
